We are back

Hi All

Its been a long time, but I know you are all as excited as me!!!.....

well, with our second weigh in I can say we are all keeping positive, Claire taking up the atkins diet, Elaine being extra healthy, Fran having come back from her jollies in Thailand has started back running & healthy eating and Vanessa? Well, lets say "I'm trying".

I wont reflect at all on the weigh ins this week, will focus more on these next week and compare / scrutinise / flog accordingly.

I have to say I am very impressed with everyone and a big pat on the back for all.

9/03/2011 blog / weigh in

Hello Campers, Its been a few weeks since I have updated the blog. I do apologise but as you can understand, after being stressed and stuck to a computer all day its been the last thing \Ive wanted to do when I got home!!
Anyway, with my holidays looming I suddenly felt a little cheerier!! Sorry to rub it in guys.
Well, with all we have ate this week I am really surprised with the weigh ins ans I think we have all done really well. I know Fran has been cycling and running again - good to see you back and injury free. I'm thinking you may join Bev & Michs running club after work??
Even Elaine who has been injured and cannot run has managed to lose 1lb - brilliant. Myself, Claire & Fran have all maintained, which again is still good to hear.
As I have mentioned I will be away and will miss two weigh ins and so will pass the baton to Michelle to ensure you all weigh in and will be guest host on the blog. No remember, she holds no punches and will shame you into losing weight. Just so she looks the better F@t Controller but remember ladies, their can only be 1 "f@t Controller and I am your God!!!
Having looked at the stats - which I will email you with the blog, its obvious that Claire & Elaine aren't drinking enough water. For your age you should be hitting 55 - 60% water. need to drink more ladies!!
I think a tactic / drastic action is required and I think for 1 week only we should all decide, together to cut something from our diet. Whether that be alcohol, bread, chocolate, biscuits - what ever. No Claire!!!! You cant cut out celery or lettuce!!! I could here you saying that from here - good aren't I.
I will ask for your suggestions on Monday and we will do it for the remainder of the week.

Happy 30th Bthday Fran

Hi All,

Good week again, no gainers just losers & maintainers!!!! Cracking.

Yours truly is the biggest loser this week having lost 2lb - applause.......

Biggest Loser so far is The Mighty Codd having lost 5lb in total - Bigger applause...... Certificate will be given shortly.

A special mention to Fran, who celebrated her 30th Birthday on Friday and treated us to cakes mmm Dlish! Lets hope this doesn't have a negative effect on Wednesday weigh in, or me & you will fall out!

Don't forget to pay before you weigh, I will send you all a copy of the weigh in spread sheet and green means paid, red is owing, Theres no rush... as I am keeping a tally and you can always pay at the end of the month in arrears or advance. I'm easy - keep comments to yourself :O

I went out for lunch on Saturday and found a really nice meal. Cajun Chicken flat bread, with caramelised onions peppers and rocket. It was lovely and I am sure a healthier option that the burger I was going to have???? As I felt quite good about my healthy choice I followed it by a luuuvrrvleee new york hot chocolate brownie with ice cream...... Yes I know shock horror! But I am putting the exercise in and so as long as I don't over indulge I can eat the odd treat.

A brilliant week had by all, no gainers, just big weight losses or maintainers, cracking!!!

Biggest loser this week is Claire - 4lb loss - thats absolutely brilliant, not far behind her was Bev with a 2lb loss. Fran, Elaine and myself all maintained, which is brilliant.

The money is totting up nicely and will be a good afternoon out, when we decide to do it!!

Lets hope Claire can continue on this road to loserville and its not the return of the yo-yoers!!!

I haven't got any of the usual witty remarks so will just say - "poached egg on toast is the future!!" haha

Second Week weigh in. Happy Birthday Elaine

Well, I am delighted to say everyone managed to weigh in this week! I'm sure it was all down to Claire the "lunch time supervisor" She even managed to get Bev to weigh in. I really do need you to add all the results - muscle, fat, water & calories per day. This way we can totally keep a track on your weight loss. Some weeks you may not lose weight yet your muscle may increase and fat decrease - this is a sign that you're still going in the right direction and will stop you getting disheartened!

I have updated the spreadsheet and you are welcome to look at it anytime. I will try to put it on the P drive but with a protected password???

Its good to see that we have all decided to "pay to weigh" it worked well last year. I have incorporated this on the spread sheet and can easily keep a record of who's paid and who owes. What I think will be good is after saving for a while we treat ourselves to lunch at try Thai or somewhere like that. Cheap & cheerful and can have a few drinks and a good girly chin wag / bitch!!!!

Right now onto the stats:
Biggest loser for our first on many weigh ins is Elaine!! Well done, lets see if you can keep it up, I know you'll have a hard week this week as its your birthday! So Happy Birthday El.
Everyone else all lost weight so well done to all!

he mighty Codd had a good week on the stats too. with a 1.40% reduction in her fat and 0.40% increase in her muscle mass, all going in the right direction. I have to say that of the people who did the full stats its clear that we aren't drinking enough water, Claire's water is only 42.90% and should be around the 60% mark. If you are dehydrated your metabolism slows down, so get drinking. Tea, coffee, juice all add towards your fluid intake. Mine and Frans water % was OK.

Right, onwards and upwards and lets see if we can have another week of losers.

New year New start-WEIGH IN WEDNESDAY'S

Happy new year to all followers, after much consideration i have decided to change weigh In's to a Wednesday. This way we will be able to offer Bev the support she needs or drag her to the scales!!

I have also decided to move with the times and have banished the old weigh in cards and opted for a new computer based record, i will show you this on Wednesday.

The rules will be as before either weigh in before your working-day or during break and dinner's ideally you must have someone with you to verify your weight, i am also going to record the fat, muscle and water reading as i am sure this will help.

Just a thought, do you want to start paying for weigh In's again-£1.00 per week.
